Volunteer
The charity has a number of opportunities for supporters, clergy, laity and teachers to volunteer with the charity. This includes raising awareness for the charity’s missions and projects, hosting visiting Melanesians, offering advice to the charity or standing as a Trustee.
At the request of ACoM the charity recruits and sends volunteers to the region, to undertake programmes of work, including scientific research, teacher and theological training and administration support.
The charity also runs a placement programme for theology students, ordinands, curates, clergy sabbaticals and church group retreats. Time can be spent with the four Anglican Religious Orders, parishes, schools and the Mothers’ Union. Our placements are designed to benefit both the volunteers and the hosting community.
