Learning for Life – Supporting ACoM Education in Melanesia

Education in Melanesia is more than a pathway to opportunity. It helps individuals, families and communities flourish, equipping children and young people with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to build their futures.
Across Solomon Islands and Vanuatu, many students continue to face significant barriers to education. Financial hardship, limited facilities, shortages of teaching resources and the challenges of island geography can make access to quality education difficult, particularly for young people living in remote communities.
The Anglican Church of Melanesia (ACoM) has a long and proud commitment to education, guided by its vision of “True Religion, Sound Learning & Useful Industry.” Through its network of schools, early childhood centres, boarding facilities and Rural Training Colleges, ACoM supports thousands of children and young people each year. The Church is also investing in the future development of higher education through the establishment of John Coleridge Patteson University, helping to nurture future leaders rooted in faith, service and learning.

Pray for Education in Melanesia
Gracious God,
You are the source of all wisdom and understanding. We thank You for the Anglican Church of Melanesia and its commitment to nurturing hearts, minds and spirits through education.
Bless the children and young people of Solomon Islands and Vanuatu. Strengthen teachers, school leaders, families and communities as they work together to encourage learning, opportunity and hope.
Guide those who support educational ministry across Melanesia. May schools, training centres and places of learning be communities where knowledge grows, faith is nurtured and lives are transformed, helping to build a future founded upon true religion, sound learning and useful industry.
Amen.
