A Prayer for the Diocese of Ysabel and the Election of a New Bishop

Almighty and Everliving God,
We give you thanks for your steadfast love and guiding hand over the Diocese of Ysabel—
for the faithful communities across Ysabel, Choiseul, the Western Provinces, and the Russell Islands.
You have called your people to serve, to lead, and to witness to your Gospel in these islands.

We give heartfelt thanks for the ministry of The Right Reverend Ellison Quity,
who has shepherded your flock with wisdom, humility, and grace since 2016.
We honour the faithful support and service of his wife Jessie,
whose quiet strength and devotion have been a blessing to many.

As Bishop Ellison retires, we pray your peace and joy will surround them both in this new season of life and rest.

Lord, as your Church prepares to elect a new Bishop for the Diocese of Ysabel, grant your people discernment, unity, and openness to your Spirit.
Raise up a shepherd after your own heart—
a leader of prayer, compassion, courage, and vision.

May the one you call be a source of hope and renewal,
a servant of your Word, and a faithful guide to your people.
Bless the electors with wisdom and peace, and may your will be done in all things.
