New Bishop for the Diocese of Banks & Torres

The Reverend Anthony Ling has been elected as the fourth Bishop for the Diocese of Banks and Torres (DOBT) in the Republic of Vanuatu, Torba Province. Revd Anthony comes from Motalava in Torba Province and is married to Elizabeth Roskou from Vanualava, and they have three children.
Revd Anthony was ordained as a Priest in February 2004 and Priested in November the same year. Since then, he has worked mainly in the Lay Ministry Training Programs and later served in the Fisher Young School of Theology and Ministry. Currently he is serving as the chaplain of Lonsdale Junior Secondary School at Sola, Vanualava. Revd Anthony holds a Master’s Degree in Theology and Ethics (with distinction) from the Pacific Theological College (PTC), Suva Fiji in 2017. He also holds a Bachelor of Theology from the University of Auckland in New Zealand in 2012 and a Diploma in Theology from Bishop Patteson Theological College (BPTC) in 2003.
The consecration date will be announced shortly. The Archbishop of Melanesia calls on all to uphold Revd Anthony Ling and his family in prayer as they prepare to take on this important responsibility in the church.
